Position
Registered Early Childhood Educator
Job Type
Permanent position, Full-time, 40 hours/week
Responsibilities
– Understand and comply with provincial, municipal and
Sunrise Guidance Policies and requirements.
– Plan and implement a consistent child-centered
program and activities in accordance with Montessori curriculum.
– Co-ordinate the programming of the Classroom program
with the Early Learning and Childcare curriculum.
– Organize and implement activities of the children as
outlined in program plans; including components required by the Childcare and
Montessori curriculum, such as reading stories, teaching songs, art painting, dramatic
play, music and physical activities, etc.
– Observe and keep records on individual children,
including daily observations and information about activities, meals served,
and medications administered; prepare reports for parents, guardian and supervisor,
and make recommendations to support future development and success.
– Instruct children in health and personal habits such
as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
